Teachers DO know how to have fun…especially in Vegas {Part 1}

So many amazing things happened the last few days in Vegas for the Teachers Pay Teachers inaugural conference.  We made HISTORY people!!!  I want to blog about the touristy things I did with my roomies, the fun people I met at the meet ups, a fun Go Noodle night, and all of the tips and tricks I learned at the conference.  It sounds like a lot so it's best to break these posts into a few parts because I've been running on adrenaline for about a week and my body wants to crash…seriously.

 I was super excited to host another teacher meet up with Courtney from Ramona Recommends.  This time, we left Southern California and took it to Las Vegas.  We were suppose to meet at the Bellini Bar inside the Venetian but I had no idea that it was a teeny tiny casino bar.  There was no way that it would fit more than 70 teachers!!!  Luckily, The Bourbon Room was able to hold all of us.  It was a fun 80s lounge where we were able to mingle and listen to some fun music!

I loved meeting all of you and sharing stories!  It's so nice to know there are other teachers who are as crazy passionate as me! I did my best to meet everyone and pass out some yummy cookies courtesy of Bettie's Bake Shop in Orange County. I loved seeing all of your posts of our cookies on Instagram. I know there are more of you who joined us but my brain is overloaded with all of the goodness from the last few days…so it's shutting down…quickly!  If I've forgotten you, please leave your blog name in the comments!

Remember that giveaway you all entered last week?  We have some winners friends! A huge, huge thank you to Erin Condren for the GENEROUS  gift card donations.

Beth from A Kindergarten Life for Me won a $50.00 gift card to Erin Condren at the Teacher Meet Up.  We didn't want you loves who couldn't make it to Vegas to feel left out, so we had a giveaway for you too!  Holy moly, there were 13,075 entries!  Thank you all for playing, wow!  A hug congrats to Kristen {love your name!!!} Melcher for winning the other $50.00 gift card, CD full of amazing products from top TpT teachers, and a Jamberry gift.  Thank you again to my new friends who donated their time and products!

I learned a lot at this fun little meet up:
  1. Saying ya'll is so much fun.  California needs a saying this awesome.  I find myself saying it all the time but I must sound ridiculous with my accent.
  2. My mister needs to step up his "Help My Girl so she doesn't go Crazy" duties.  I learned that so many of the hubbies at the meet up do the laminating, cutting, editing, cooking, cleaning, walking the dog…
  3. Teachers are so much fun and need to let loose once in a while.  Glad Vegas gave us the forum to do so!
  4. There should most definitely be more than 1 waitress to accommodate over 70 thirsty teachers!
  5. Courtney and I should look into turning this meet up business into a real job!  It's fun planning parties!

Thanks for fitting us into your busy schedule and having a fun night with us!  Until we meet again new friends!  Head on over to A Burst of First to see what everyone else was up to!

  1. What an amazing conference! It looks like you all had such fun. How were you able to organize such a big meet-up? I'm going to have to be better about all of this social media. You really have it together. Cookies even...amazing!

  3. Vegas was absolutely amazing but I know what you mean about being exhausted. After the conference on Friday I wanted nothing more than to climb into bed. I'm sorry I missed the meet up - I will definitely have to make the next one!
