Currently July and needing more Balance

I've already been out of school for a week and feel like I've done nothing.  I've been staying up too late and sleeping in like it's going out of style.  I've linked up with Farley again for July!
I'm slowly catching up on the Bachelorette.  I typically give up halfway through the season because 2-3 episodes a week is way too much for this girl!  I've always wished the all my reality shows actually showed behind the scenes action.  I don't care about fantasy dates, I want to see what people look like when they wake up and what a real day looks like.

I am definitely not the type of person who makes the most of their day and has that motto I'll sleep when I'm dead.  I love naps and I love sleeping probably more than anything.  Sleeping makes me happier than grilled cheese, and grilled cheese makes me pretty darn happy!

I was hoping that with the summer, I'd be better at balancing my "real" life and my teacher life. I struggled with it big time in the fall. When I talk to my mister at the end of the day and tell him that I was so busy working, he's always so confused because I'm on summer vacation.  I tell you, men don't get it!!!  A teacher's mind never stops.  I can't go to Michaels or Target without figuring out how I can make this or that work in my classroom.  Since I have more time, my mind is going crazy with all of the things I want to buy, create, and do.
I was the crazy lady sitting on the floor of Michaels searching for the letter "A" in one of my colors.  Since they only had red, I spray painted it a pretty aqua.
My mind has also been going nonstop because I'll be in Vegas next week for the big TpT conference.  I'm also co-hosting a blogger meet up with Courtney.
Needless to say, there is lots to do.  I pinky promise to myself and to you that after Vegas, I WILL RELAX!

We're in the process of house hunting and are ready to buy our first home together.  Holy moly, it's a lot of work!  Ideally, I'd love to be done with escrow before school starts, but it's highly unlikely.

I have stuff scattered all over the place and have had ZERO motivation to do anything about it.  Without being paid in the summer, I'm THE housecleaner {and a terrible one at that lately}.

Finally, this will be the 1st summer that I can remember where I won't be spending it at the beach.  My mister is a HUGE Giants fan so we'll be spending the day at Petco Park in San Diego.
Here are some photos from the 4th last year.

I'll miss our town's annual office chair races too!
It's a huge spectacle!
What will you be doing for the 4th
