Tic-Tac-Toe, 3 in a Row!!!

Here's a fun take on a game we all love. All you need is a mini-white board and dry erase markers. You can use this game for math facts, spelling, vocabulary...anything!!!

To help one of my kiddos with her spelling words, we looked at the words she misspelled on her pre-test. I wrote them the correct way for her and highlighted them.

To play the game: I told her one of the words and she wrote it in one of the spaces. Then, I had her look at the list to check if she was correct. It's a great way to reinforce how to spell it. Then, she chose one of the words for me to spell. She also had to check to see if I spelled it correctly. We keep playing until someone wins.
I love this game because it's almost zero-prep. and can be used for almost anything. My kiddos love it because they are having fun and not even realizing they are studying!!! You can use it during a small group lesson, with buddies, and during Literacy Workshop.
